Mars The Y.A. #1

This expression combines single malts from two Hombo Shuzo distilleries – Shinshu and Tsunuki – creating a blended malt made with unpeated and lightly peated barley. Aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks housed at the company’s Yakushima cellars, this first edition offers aromas of vanilla wafers, bitter pineapple, orange zest and pear skins. The palate enters with candied tropical fruits, roasted sweet potato and vanilla saltwater taffy, followed by a long malty finish with a hint of smoke.
