Sagamore Rum Cask Finish Rye

A special-edition rye whiskey from Sagamore Spirit’s Reserve Series, this is the second iteration of its rum cask finished whiskey. Initially matured in American oak barrels, it was then finished in a combination of South American barrels and ex-Jamaican rum barrels for 10 months, introducing layers of tropical fruit and caramelised sugar to Sagamore’s spicy rye character. The palate offers notes of ripe banana, passion fruit, demerara sugar, spiced pineapple, vanilla, flores fritas, peanut brittle, cinnamon bark, ginger and spicy black pepper that linger in the finish.
